  • The ºÚÁÏÍø Foundation is pleased to announce new appointments for three distinguished community members—Ryan C. Abernethy of Fort Pierce, Douglas J. Marcello of Stuart and Milo Thornton of Vero Beach—to its Board of Directors.

  • ºÚÁÏÍø and Honeywell have launched a comprehensive infrastructure improvement project designed to increase energy efficiency across all five ºÚÁÏÍø campuses through a series of building upgrades. The improvements are projected to reduce operational costs by $9.8 million over 10 years.

  • Recent ºÚÁÏÍø (ºÚÁÏÍø) Interior Design program graduate, Karla Ambrose, placed first in the 2020 ASID Florida South Design Excellence Awards category for Student Commercial Design. The annual design competition is dedicated to the advancement of the interior design profession through the recognition of outstanding designers.

  • ºÚÁÏÍø will expand its HVAC, construction and solar panel technician training programs with a $2,236,673 grant made possible through the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity’s (DEO) Rebuild Florida Workforce Recovery Training Program.

  • ºÚÁÏÍø has hired Jane Kim its new Dean of Workforce Education and Development.

  • Piper Aircraft, Inc. is accepting applications for its 2021 Apprenticeship Program. The two-year program, presented in cooperation with ºÚÁÏÍø (ºÚÁÏÍø), launched in 2019 in response to the increasing demand for high-quality manufacturing candidates at Piper Aircraft. The second cohort class recently completed their first semester of the program, shadowing skilled aircraft assembly workers and learning all aspects of aircraft fabrication and assembly while taking related ºÚÁÏÍø-delivered coursework.

  • Dr. William G. Anderson, D.O.—one of the nation’s last living links to Original Six of the American Civil Rights Movement—will headline the ºÚÁÏÍø (ºÚÁÏÍø) Black History Month event on the evening of Thursday, February 18.

  • A new guaranteed admissions interview agreement between ºÚÁÏÍø (ºÚÁÏÍø) and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) makes it easier for ºÚÁÏÍø Bachelor’s Degree in Biology students to train to be a physician.
