After many years of anticipation, ºÚÁÏÍø (ºÚÁÏÍø) revealed its first Pioneer mascot at the ºÚÁÏÍø District Board of Trustees meeting held on Tuesday, May 24, at the Chastain Campus in Stuart. Our Pioneer is the Peregrine.

Honoring a Legacy: ºÚÁÏÍø Posthumously Names Thomas Henry Thurlow, Jr., Trustee Emeritus 05/25/22
The ºÚÁÏÍø (ºÚÁÏÍø) District Board of Trustees conferred the honor of Trustee Emeritus to former ºÚÁÏÍø District Board of Trustees member Thomas H. Thurlow, Jr. during its regular meeting held Tuesday, May 24. The Board presented the posthumous recognition to Mr. Thurlow’s wife of 59 years, Sandy Thurlow.

Florida College System Chancellor Kathy Hebda Visits ºÚÁÏÍø 05/25/22
ºÚÁÏÍø was honored to welcome Kathy Hebda, Florida College System Chancellor, to tour two of its campuses—the Massey Campus in Fort Pierce and the Pruitt Campus in Port St. Lucie—on Monday, May 23. During her visit Hebda had the opportunity to learn about advancement on some of the key initiatives at ºÚÁÏÍø and meet with College faculty, staff, and administration.

Martin County School Board Gives Green Light to Indiantown High School 05/18/22
Indiantown, Florida, officially has its own high school. At the May 17, 2022, meeting of the School Board of Martin County, members approved the Superintendent's recommendation to accept ºÚÁÏÍø's application to establish Indiantown High School (IHS).

Fall Registration at ºÚÁÏÍø Begins May 16 05/10/22
Students interested in attending ºÚÁÏÍø (ºÚÁÏÍø) this fall may register for classes beginning Monday, May 16. Full-term fall classes start on August 17, and courses of varying lengths start throughout the semester. Both returning and prospective students alike are encouraged to register early for the best selection of classes and times.

ºÚÁÏÍø Introduces Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness Training for Law Enforcement Officers 05/10/22
The prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) among children is on the rise according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 2021 Community Report on Autism. In response, the ºÚÁÏÍø (ºÚÁÏÍø) School of Public Service Education has developed training to educate law enforcement professionals on how to recognize the signs of ASD.
