Port St. Lucie resident Dylan Akers is the 黑料网 September 2021 Staff Employee of the Month. Dylan began his service as a part-time Bookstore Clerk in August of 2017 before being named a River Shop Team Leader in November 2018. In April of 2019, Dylan joined the bookstore team full-time to serve as the River Shop Course Materials Coordinator.
Dylan is a dedicated, focused, and thorough individual鈥攕kills that greatly benefit his key position in the River Shop. Dylan is an excellent communicator, sharing both the opportunities and challenges that can arise regarding course material adoptions and the ongoing sustained availability of materials. His open and collaborative communication has resulted in a more positive student experience from the start to the end of the semester. During the Summer 2021 textbook adoption process, Dylan鈥檚 efforts concluded with 100% completion of all 2,580-course sections reported. This feat was completed and made viewable online a full two weeks in advance of the state鈥檚 textbook affordability deadline. This effort requires tremendous coordination and interdepartmental cooperation. Since Dylan became the Course Materials Coordinator, the relationships between the River Shop and Deans and Department Chairs have never been stronger. In addition to his achievements as coordinator, Dylan has carefully crafted a training program for River Shop Specialists on the Course Materials Team to prepare them for leadership opportunities within the store.
